Toscana Pellet® prioritizes good quality. A lot of years in pellet industry taught us that we can create long-term cooperation based on constant, invariable pellet parameters.
In order to avoid unpleasant surprises or complaints our company controls the quality dually:
- In producer’s factory – at the beginning while contracting new producers and periodically during the cooperation. The controlled pellet parameters are mainly: crumble percentage, durability, color, moisture;
- Periodically in our headquarter – in case of our new and current producers. We use specialist gauges and stoves where we burn chosen pellet in order to check its parameters (ash percentage, sinters presence, etc.).
Verified quality Toscana Pellet products resulted in gaining two most important certificates confirming its perfect parameters:
Certificate ENplus A1 (click here to see the document)
Certificate DINplus
What is Certificate ENplus A1?
New European standards for solid fuels came into force 2011, in order to ensure that in the whole of Europe is the same quality fuel. The standards apply apply for wooden pellet and are marked with EN 14961-2 Certification ENplus not only meets the EN 14961-2 standards but also requires more stringent quality criteria. ENplus seal of quality assured by low emissions with high levels of energy yield. This standard unified existing norms for pellets.
There are two basic ENplus norms: ENplus A1 and ENplus A2. The first one is characterized by higher requirements that pellet should fullfil to have this quality seal.
The ENplus® certificate with its strict requirements stands for excellent pellet quality. For the first time the whole supply chain is covered by a single certification system.
Toscana Pellet® products with ENplus A1 quality seal PL306 guarantee our customers repeatable parameters and obliged us to maintain the highest European standards.
What is Certificate DINplus?
As biomass wood pellet was gradual becoming commercial fuel resource for residential and industrial heating, the pellet quality certification standards appear following. Before European Pellet Council it was DIN CERTCO, which create DIN Plus certification scheme for high quality wood pellet in 2002. It was developed on the base of the German DIN 51731 certification and the Austrian ÖNORM M 7135 certification. This scheme includes the establishment of internal quality management and external controls.
Having DINplus certificate proves that sold pellet has perfect quality.
While buying Toscana Pellet® products with our DINplus our customers can be sure that this fuel is produced from clean sawdust without any prohibited additives. This pellet is ecological, high calorific and not harmful for any professional pellet stove.
